FIXED THE CAMERA. This is the first of 3 posts about SXSW. It was insane, it was overwhelming in alot of ways. The main thing was that despite all of our free alcohol (thanks PBR and Dolce Vida Organic Tequila) and all the amazing bands that played here (thanks to Craig, Colonel Abe, Johnny Matzah, The dudes from the Gary and Electrical Audio. the bands that played and BURGER RECORDS) that everyone that came to the shop, FOR THE MOST PART, were totally kind and nice. No fights, no serious verbal altercations, just a good time. Sure, some people were SLIGHTLY offended by the staff's general disregard, mouthiness and drunkeness, but those people are uptight and we don't give a shit. Imagine that.
From L to R. Guitar player from Hammerhead, Paul from Hammerhead, Spot, Drummer from Hammerhead. Sorry I forgot the names. These guys played here last minute after your intrepid blogger asked them to as a favor. Not only did they destroy minds, but they were super nice and respectful. Mad love to these guys. Thanks for playing. The bands that were supposed to play after didn't want to. Mostly due to the manhood displayed during the set. Kudos.
Omar from Apache on the Left, Bass player in the stripes (forgot your name, sorry) and bass players Dad in the middle (think your name is David, sorry again) This right here is Trailer Space, People having a good time. We loved having Dad here because he was comfortable and had fun. Everyone should feel that way here, that's our goal. These dudes rule.
Russian, holding silly shirt.
Epic Shot. on the Left. Spot, on the Right Mike "FUCKING" Mariconda. If you don't know, you'll never know. All I can say is that these two dudes are all about love....and sluts. But mostly Love.
Lee (dark haired hippy) and Sean (blonde hippy) from Burger Records. We tell people that Burger is our sister store. We do that because these guys act proper. They are caring, loving and only seem to care about doing the right thing...and weed. Best Californians ever. Burger has a permanent spot at Trailer Space during SXSW. PS. BRIAN, WE DONT HATE YOU, WE THINK YOU ARE PRETTY RAD.
Hella fools. We were more stoned than all of them. GUARANTEED.
Francis and Alex White. They comprise White Mystery, who rule. They are also exceptional humans. It's rare that Spot and JJ meet people who are so compatible to our acerbic nature and not hateful to us because of it. Get their new record "Blood and Venom" and see them play whenever you can.
James Arthur, Spot and G-Low. Holding it the fuck down. It's been quite pleasurable watching young G-Low grow his drinking legs. Very pleasurable.
We will now end this blog post with this picture of a highly intoxicated minor.
